Barômetro é um instrumento de medição utilizado em meteorologia para medir a pressão atmosférica. Os alunos do 9º ano fizeram um barômetro com o objetivo de evidenciar nos experimentos os estudos sobre a pressão atmosférica (gravidade + peso do ar) e demonstrar como o aumento ou diminuição da pressão modificam a altura da garrafa no barômetro caseiro.

What is atmospheric pressure?
It is the force applied on a surface by the air above it as gravity pulls it to Earth.
The objective of this experiment was to materialize that pressure, which is invisible to the human eye, but that can be seen with a barometer. Our students built a homemade barometer to show what happens when the atmospheric pressure increases or decreases.
Our students also learned that they need to be patient, since experiments take time to be observed and be successful.
